Where I fly in the Bay Area?

Rancho San Antonio Park (RSA), Cupertino - Best for electric, prop planes with landing gear.  To hook up with other Rancho fliers on the internet, you can join the Yahoo eGroup at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RSAelectricflyers/

Click here for a map to get to RSA.

Baylands Park, Sunnyvale - Best for EDF jets or  prop planes without  landing gear.  With my EDF interest these days, you can find me here most often.  Once you go in the gate to Baylands, turn right, and proceed to the last picnic area on your left-hand-side.  It will be labeled Pickleweed Place.  This is usually the picnic area we fly out of.

Windy Hill - Slope or gliders when you have an offshore (eastern) wind.  You will need a permit to fly here, but the flying is excellent.  Always check the real-time wind map at the USGS before going here to make sure the wind is blowing in the right direction.

Click here for map and info about permits.

Coyote Hills - Slope combat.  During the summertime the southern winds pound the northern, bay-facing slopes of this park.  Excellent for combat or slope gliders with lots of wing loading.

Current Project:  F-14 Tomcat - It is not yet complete, but I am working hard to finish her.  Hopefully a maiden flight soon!
