SIG Ninja Glider

Here I am, up on the slope with the Ninja.  This slope glider flies excellent, and was not too difficult to build.  It is wood construction, with foam-core, balsa sheeted wings, covered in ultracoat.  Notice the ski goggles…a must-have for sloping during high winds. Although I look like a geek, it eeps the eyes from watering, and UV protection too!

Total Construction Time = 2 full weekends.  This kit comes as just a box of wood, with some foam wing cores.  Lots of gluing, sanding, and covering work to be done to put her together.

DAW P-51 Foamie

Here is my combat foamie, a DAW P-51.  It’s covered in Ultracoat using 3M 77 spray to hold it on.  This plane takes a beating and keeps on flying…although last time I took it into the ground from a strike, I stripped my elevator servo.  Next time, I am switching to metal gears!

Total Construction Time = 1 full weekend plus a couple of hours during the week.  Kit comes as just a bunch of foam and wood in a box.
